Community & Philanthropy

Every activity or event in which Civic Club participates or creates reflects our shared commitment to promote our community. We reach out to others in need through our Community Outreach, provide avenues for the children in our community to thrive, support family, and ensure long-standing community traditions. We bring our community together while forming lifetime friendships.

Annual 4th of July – Games in the Park

Civic Club organizes time-honored games for kids and families to play at Sierra Madre’s Annual 4th of July picnic.

Wistaria Festival

Each year, Civic Club provides docents for the famed vine at the Wistaria Festival.

Huck Finn Fishing Derby

Civic Club assists the City in this annual event with registration, weighing fish, and awarding trophies.

Civic Club organizes the local children to paint the merchants windows. Awards are given out by age groups

Mt. Wilson Trail Race and Kids Fun Run

Our members provide staffing, t-shirts, food, and a place to rest after this annual mountain race. Civic Club separately sponsors the Kids’ Fun Run.

Concert in the Park

Each year, Civic Club sponsors a band for the summer ‘Concert in the Park’ series. We also sell refreshments and the profits from the sale of these are designated for philanthropies.

One of Civic Club’s major missions is to enrich our community by providing financial support through our philanthropic endeavors. Each year, Civic Club grants Education Awards to high school seniors and funds worthy projects and organizations in our community.
